West Coast Lager – Simcoe Edition

Our West Coast Lager has traditionally featured Citra hops, but this time we were fortunate to secure an exceptional lot of Simcoe from the 2024 harvest. We felt compelled to showcase this hop in our new flagship lager, using it in the whirlpool and through two rounds of dry hopping.

This particular Simcoe stands out for its remarkably high Methyl Geranate content compared to other lots, which is expected to enhance flavor stability throughout the brewing process. It delivers vivid notes of citrus and berries, with a more subdued impression of melon. The hops were grown at Wyckoff Farms in Washington State, a farm that was awarded Platinum in Yakima Chief Hops’ 2024 Top Cut Award Winners (Medium Farm Category). True to that honor, opening the bag instantly releases a bright and captivating aroma.

We feel truly fortunate to have obtained such outstanding hops and to be able to share them through this beer. We hope you enjoy this special release as much as we enjoyed brewing it.
